Children and Youth

Activities for children and young people are spread amongst the five parishes which make up the Severnside Benefice.

We take the welfare and safeguarding of all children very seriously; please read our “Safeguarding” leaflet. Safeguarding Leaflet

What’s on for children in our churches

Church doesn’t have to be on Sundays and it doesn’t even have to be in church.

Messy Church

is for families – it’s a time for them to do things together – usually craft activities – to worship together and to eat together.

Sadly, at present we do not have enough leaders to continue with Messy Church. If you have any ideas how our work with young people can be continued please contact a member of the Local Ministry Team.           (See – Who we are)

Worship for the whole church family

Frampton   A service for all the church family is  held at 10am on the  second Sunday of every month, in Cadbury Hall, Lake Lane, Frampton.

CELEBRATE SUNDAY  Church with a difference!

Free breakfast, conversation, craft and worship.

See SERVICES on Home Page for details each month.

Framilode  There is a Family service at 11am on the first  Sunday of every month and a Family service combined with Communion on the third Sunday of the month.

Fretherne  There is a family service with communion at 11am on the fourth Sunday of alternate months.(August, October)

Children and Communion

Our churches have adopted a policy of admitting children to communion before they have been confirmed, if this is something they would like to do, and after discussion with the vicar and their parents.

Lakefield School

Lakefield School is a Church of England school and as such members of the church are involved in leading the morning worship on certain days each week.  On Tuesdays the ‘Open the Book’ team visit the school and on Thursdays members of the church lead worship.
