Children and Youth

Activities for children and young people are spread amongst the five parishes which make up the Severnside Benefice.

We take the welfare and safeguarding of all children very seriously; please read our “Safeguarding” leaflet. Safeguarding Leaflet

What’s on for children in our churches

Church doesn’t have to be on Sundays and it doesn’t even have to be in church.

Messy Church is coming to Whitminster

is for families – it’s a time for them to do things together – usually craft activities – to worship together and to eat together.

The first Messy Church at Whitminster School is Thursday 20th April at 3.15pm. Please print off and display this poster .  The team need some craft items collecting – if you have any diary spread lids please can you save them and let Sister Gill know – tel 0770 806 2772

Children and Communion

Our churches have adopted a policy of admitting children to communion before they have been confirmed, if this is something they would like to do, and after discussion with the vicar and their parents.

Lakefield School

Lakefield School is a Church of England school and as such members of the church are involved in leading the morning worship on certain days each week.  On Tuesdays the ‘Open the Book’ team visit the school and on Thursdays members of the church lead worship.
